Originally from New Zealand, Courtney came to us from a mid-size Chartered Accounting firm based in Auckland, bringing with her a passion for learning and growth in her field.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Business with a major in Accounting from Massey University in Auckland. Her background in small business has equipped her with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices, allowing her to more ably support her clients.
In her role as a Junior Accountant at JD Scott + Co, Courtney is instrumental in providing accounting support and contributing to the team’s commitment to providing excellent service to her clients. She is detail-oriented and proactive, working closely with the rest of the team to assist with various accounting tasks such as preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Courtney will shortly commence her Chartered Accountant (CA) studies in 2025 to further her professional development. Her eagerness to learn and grow in her role allows her to adapt to the unique needs of each client, adding value to both the firm and its clientele.
Outside of her professional life, Courtney enjoys indulging in her love for baking, often experimenting with new recipes and treats in the kitchen. She also values her time at the beach, soaking up the sun.
